Welcome to the SAAB pages.
Here is a brief time line of my experience with Saab
automobiles.
2006
February: Test drove a 2004 9-3 Linear. Love at first
sight.
March: Ordered a 9-3 Arc SportSedan with the European
Delivery Program
May: Picked up my new car in Trollhattan and explored
Europe.
July: Car delivered at dealership in California
November: Traded in the the 9-3 Arc and bought a new 2006
Aero SportCombi
2007
February:
Still very happy with the SAAB experience, even though I
have become quite addicted with reading up on everything
SAAB. So thankful for the internet and forums with other
SAAB junkies, even though it cuts into my regular social
life (ha ha ha , that made me laugh..)
Trading in a new car after such a short time might seem
irresponsible and foolish. No disagreement there. However,
I should have ordered an Aero in the first place but I only
figured that out after I was the happy owner of the Arc SS.
With the year-end clearances going on in November, it was
an excellent opportunity to upgrade.
Station wagons don't register high on the "coolness" scale
here in the USA but this SportCombi is a different animal.
All the practicality of an SUV with the power and handling
of a sports sedan. It also doesn't look like any other car,
errr wagon on the road. So yes, it feels good to be
different. SAAB did an amazing job on the styling.
June:
I decided to move back to Michigan and will be without a
job and income for a while. I decided to sell my 9-3 SC and
get an older 9-5 Estate. No car payments and a new Saab
experience seems like the right combination for now.
